Seasons and weather
In terms of seasons, it’s worth knowing that the peak season is the dry season, between November and April. During this season, the weather is perfect – sunny, warm but not too hot, and there’s little chance of rain. In contrast, during the rainy season, from May to October , the atmosphere is a bit wetter and more dramatic, with unexpected rain and gray skies.
How do you get to Koh Jum?
The easiest way to get there is directly from these destinations:
- Krabi – from Krabi town or Mao Nang, an hour and a half to three hours, depending on the type of trip you choose.
- Koh Lanta – one hour sailing.
- Phi Phi Line – half an hour by speedboat.
- Phuket – an hour and a quarter by speedboat.

Recommended beaches in Koh Jum
So the beauty of Jam is to do nothing but lie on the beaches. You can come with a snorkel and mask and look for treasures in the water or just lie on the sand and relax. It is worth coming with mosquito spray! Which beaches are worth going to?
Ting-rai
The beach is relatively in the center of the island, has some good restaurants and is recommended for sunset!

Golden Pearl Beach
Also a stunning, wide and quiet beach. Located in the western part, south of Ting Rai Beach and great for beautiful sunsets.

Sunset Beach
The beach is located in the northwest of the island, technically on Koh Pu. As you might have guessed, it is also an amazing sunset beach.

Coconut Beach
Also in the north of the island, namely Koh Pu. One of the most isolated and quiet beaches, with coconut trees, white sand and clean water.
Restaurants in Koh Jum
While there aren’t a ton of restaurants around the island, there are a few with great food, especially if you like Thai food. What’s worth checking out?
Ban Ban Restaurant
Fresh pastries, breakfasts and Thai dishes – everything is really, really delicious. I had a dish of tofu with ginger and mushrooms and it was one of the tastiest.

Tingrai Restaurants
Excellent Thai food! The green curry is highly recommended. There are also vegetarian dishes.
Caff Day Coffee
A cafe with great breakfasts! Their coffee is good and they also have really delicious cookies and pastries.

Sun Smile Beach Bungalows
Originally this place is a guesthouse but they also have an excellent restaurant with delicious Thai food. The massaman curry is recommended!

Mr Boy Cafe
A restaurant located right on the water with an amazing view. There are lots of delicious dishes and local desserts.
