Dalat is a unique mountainous city in southern Vietnam that is full of attractions such as waterfall rappelling, easy rider tours, nature treks and Vietnamese cultural experiences. It is very different from the rest of the country, both in landscape and atmosphere. If you plan to continue from Dalat to Nha Trang , it is a short drive of about 3-4 hours, from where you can continue north to the historic city of Hue , about 10 hours away by car or short flight. Weather in Dalat
As in the rest of southern Vietnam and due to the tropical climate, the region has two seasons:
The dry season, from November to March. It is best to travel during this period, there is little rain and between 20 – 30 degrees. Cool evenings.
Monsoon season, from April to October. Very rainy and humid. The temperatures can drop to 10!
It is important to note that this area is much cooler than the south, so it is recommended to bring something long, especially for the evening hours.
Dalat Vietnam: 10 Best Attractions
Besides rappelling down waterfalls (which is highly recommended!), in Dalat, Vietnam you will also find cool pagodas, waterfalls, markets, and even a crazy house that is a kind of museum!
Datanla Falls
An attraction complex full of waterfalls, ziplines, roller coasters and more! A little expensive because each attraction has a separate fee, but there is no doubt that this is one of the most worthwhile experiences in the area. The place is a fifteen-minute drive from the city center, and you can book a trip there and to other places in advance.
Linh Son Pagoda
A beautiful Buddhist temple in the middle of the city. It's worth coming if you want a moment of peace, or to practice meditation (I went to practice and sat there for about an hour). The place is open, you are welcome to come and soak up the calm atmosphere.
Dalat Night Market
A variety of clothes, souvenirs, fruits, cooking products and lots of great food! It's definitely worth going there at least once if you're in the area. It's usually quite busy and noisy there, but you can find a quiet corner.
Crazy House
A building with unique and creative architecture, where you can wander through tunnels. Feels a bit like an artistic labyrinth. This place is also a really cool and inexpensive hotel!
Rappelling waterfalls Dalat!
Probably the attraction you've heard about the most, and for good reason! Full of waterfalls to rappel down from, natural slides, full of adrenaline and fun! You can book in advance with a group and a guide.
Dalat Viewpoint: Climbing to the Edge of Lang Biang Mountain
A day trek of moderate difficulty. The ascent and descent from the mountain take about 3 to 5 hours, so it is worth arriving in the morning. This is an opportunity to learn how to climb with minimal effort and maximum attention to the body using the mindfulness method .
Thác Voi
Really impressive waterfalls and an amazing piece of nature. It's worth coming on a beautiful day.
Linh An Pagoda
A huge statue of Buddha! Rumor has it that if you touch his belly you will receive a blessing for love and success. The temple has other impressive statues of Buddha and dragons. In addition, the place is very close to Tak Wei Waterfall, so you can make a day trip from it.
Valley Of Love
A romantic and sweet park with a beautiful garden, picnic areas, a lake and simply a pleasant and romantic atmosphere to stroll in and breathe good air.
Pongour Falls
Among the most impressive waterfalls I've seen! They are very wide and the water pours down natural stone steps into a beautiful pool. Note that there is a descent of about ten minutes from the parking lot.

The food in the city is simply excellent! Whether you want Vietnamese, vegetarian, vegan, Italian or anything else, they have almost everything. Plus, you can eat avocado ice cream there, which in my opinion is one of the best ice cream flavors out there. Here are some recommendations that you should definitely try:
Lee's Pizza House
The pizza is perhaps the most delicious I've eaten in Vietnam and the pasta is also amazing, really, really recommended.

Really delicious vegetarian food, a variety of special Vietnamese dishes.
Kom Chay Au Lac
A wonderful vegan restaurant founded by monks to spread the spirit of Buddhism. You can choose any dishes you want from what they have prepared that day or take a dish from the menu. Everything is fresh, delicious and amazing.

Really delicious pizzas and pastas, owned by a sweet family.
